Originally from the Washington D.C area, Sara moved to Bend in 1997 and worked at an orthopedic office, where she gained an interest in medicine. In 2000, she joined Deschutes County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue, through which she trained as an Outdoor Emergency Care provider and EMT-Basic. She received a Bachelor’s of General Science from University of Oregon in 2005. She received her physician assistant training from Oregon Health and Science University, graduating in 2010. Since graduating she has been working in Urology. In her spare time, she enjoys all the outdoor adventures that Central Oregon has to offer, including snowboarding, skiing, biking, and whitewater boating.
