MonaLisa Touch® Laser Therapy
The MonaLisa Touch® is an FDA-approved laser therapy to treat vaginal symptoms related to menopause. It delivers gentle laser energy to the vaginal wall, improving tissue quality and enhanced moisture levels within the vagina.
Therapy Details:
- Standard therapy involves 3 treatments over a period of 18 weeks
- Each treatment is performed in office and takes less than 15 minutes
- Topical numbing cream is used during each treatment for comfort
- Ideal for women who are unable to use topical estrogen
MonaLisa Touch® is Not Recommended if You Have Any of the Following:
- Vaginal infection
- Pregnancy or recent pregnancy in the past 3 months
- Severe prolapse
- History of vaginal or rectal radiation
- Previous mesh prolapse repair
- Blood clotting disorder or use of prescription blood thinners
What to Expect After a Treatment:
- Treated skin will feel sensitive or itchy
- You may also notice mild redness or swelling to the treatment areas
- Use cold compresses or cold gel packs as needed for swelling and discomfort
- Reapply ointment (Aquaphor) to treatment area until skin has healed
- Avoid lifting heavy weights or doing intense physical exercise for at least 2 days following the treatment
- Refrain from sexual intercourse for a week after the treatment
